A total eclipse of the Sun is visible from within a narrow corridor that traverses Earth's southern Hemisphere. The path of the Moon's umbral shadow crosses the South Pacific Ocean where it makes no landfall except for Mangaia (Cook Islands) and Easter Island (Isla de Pascua). The path of totality ends just after reaching southern Chile and Argentina. The Moon's penumbral shadow produces a partial eclipse visible from a much larger region covering the South Pacific and southern South America.

We will meet in Santiago of Chile in November 2011. We will arrive in our hotel and the next day we will leave for a visit to one vineyard near Santiago. Wine tasting and lunch is included. This tour is called Tren del Vino.
- On Sunday 5th, we will leave to Easter Island for a five day trip. We will visit all the archeological sites in the island, two music and dance-shows, two national parks, typical food prepared by a local family, and some free time for you to choose your favorite spot or just relax. Alternative activities, as long as the weather allows it, are: diving, sailing, horseback riding.
